Open House - June 8, 2013

Proposed 5-Million Gallon Storage Tank Project

More than 100 residents attended the Open House for the Five Million Gallon Tank held at the Las Virgenes Reservoir on Saturday June 8.

District staff and consultants provided information on the tank project, its relation to the District's multi-year Backbone Improvement Program, the projected construction schedule and what measures will be taken to minimize traffic, blasting, and other impacts to the community.

Below are links to PDFs of materials used at the Open House as well as a Comment & Suggestion form that residents could fill out. If you are interested in commenting about this project, please e-mail us at comments@LVMWD.com.

If you were unable to attend the Open House and wish to address the Board, please attend their regularly held meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month starting at 5:00 p.m. See our Meetings page for more details.

Open House - Color Choices

Participants at the Open House were asked to express a preference for the color of the tank.   Three color swatches were available for viewing; samples are shown here. Note that on the website the colors appear somewhat different than the actual color samples. The middle sample is the same color that is currently found on the Westlake Filtration Plant building located at Las Virgenes Reservoir.
