Leonard E. Polan was elected to the LVMWD Board in November 2012. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he has been a resident of the City of Westlake Village for nearly 30 years, where he continues to reside with his spouse, Jill. The Polans have three adult children.

He is a Viet Nam era veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. An architect by profession, Mr. Polan studied at the University of Tennessee, where he graduated with honors. He volunteers as an architectural consultant to the First Neighborhood Homeowners Association in Westlake Village and has provided guidance to the Calabasas Park Homeowners Association.
